Bio

I am from the wonderful and exotic land called 'Canada'. (No, I do not say 'eh'). There is a touch of the Irish in me. Writing is my passion, fanficcing is my ultimate amusement. I enjoy long walks on the beach ...but I like swimming better. I dislike reality TV, but hate even more how it has a tendency to suck you in even when you're just innocently trying to flick passed the channel. I wish on stars, wonder about the pot of gold at the end of a rainbow, and throw salt over my shoulder though I don't actually think it accomplishes anything beyond relocating those granular particles. Some published author who likely knows more about a hell of a lot than I do once said that writing is like this: You open a door, you close a door. I greatly disagree. Good writing should be like good theatre, or good film: it should make you forget where you really are. Maybe even teach you a little something. At the very least, it should entertain you. That's all I'm trying to do.

I've been through a random selection of fandoms, starting with anime: Gundam Wing, Yuu Yuu Hakusho and Evangelion. I stopped fanficcing only to be sucked into the world of Harry Potter (of which I have no extricated myself.) But what counts is that I also stumbled into the world of Queer as Folk. The attraction being the dynamic of the characters, most particularly those beautiful boys -- Brian and Justin. I'm slightly Justin-centric, but I strive to write with balance and without bias. Michael fans are happy to know that I have nothing against the man. And if you haven't discovered it already, (though, if you read my fics you soon will), yes, I am a closet-romantic (but shh, don't tell).
