Greetings any and all who are still keeping track of this long-abandoned page.

I am here to say that I am still alive and the muses of QAF have been showing signs of life for me. I have a quick question I wanted to pose to any and all who would be willing to take a moment. Think back (wa~ay back) to that fic <i>The House of Good Intention</i>, there was, in addition to the chapters, a large list of music that I listened to while I wrote/write it, and an option to download songs as you pleased. The links to this music has long-since died and I have since modified the music. Would people be interested in a sort of soundtrack (rather than a daunting list of over 72 tracks?) It would probably be assembled in the same was as before if only because I do not know how to assemble the music into a soundtrack-form. Anyway, let me know, I would appreciate it. Also, yes, I am still writing and alive but things are also extremely busy so I cannot approximate an update at this moment. I am hoping soon, though!

View Poll: Good Intentions Soundtrack

Just a heads-up to let people know what's going on. Exams are finally done, all my papers are handed in and tomorrow in the morning I'm packin-up and car-trippin' on home. The good news is that my summer schedule will allow for much much more writing, so woot! The bad news, my mum mistook a random box sitting in a corner all on its lonesome for a useless box doing nothing and ripped it (and the wires attached to it) out of the wall -- this box was our phone line. As a result, I have no idea when I'll be able to post, but keep a look-out! I'll post a message here to let you all know what's going on once I know!

Luv and a shrubbery!

Okay, so I've been angsting about this fic, and the entire verse, and that has made me avoid it like the plague. I originally intended to go back and start re-working 'Slowly', but then 'Beautiful Things' kept irking me, so I'm starting at the beginning and working my way back, no way around it. Do you guys want me to post a comment if/when one of the chapters gets edited?

Anyway, in other news, I'm nearly done another chapter in 'Slowly' -- it was a bit like pulling teeth, but it's almost done and I'm posting it because, well, it's been forever since I posted. That should be up by the end of the week.

Reviews keep my muses fat and happy!

I know I made reference to an update for Good Intention last week, or technically, as it's still Sunday, this week. It was going amazingly well, but Brian is set the enter the scene at the end of this chapter, and the circumstances are causing me grief as I firmly believe that Brian sought-out his father in the bar in S1 as a result of his conversation with Justin (not that they didn't meet before, I did pick-up on the money exchanging hands and that it appeared to be a regular occurrence) but in the context of this fic, I'm just wrestling with his entrance and what I want Justin to be doing. So, that's why the delay. Well, that and the paper on Kant, but that hardly seems as significant, LOL.

Hello!

I received a semi-frantic email from someone who was concerned that 'The House of Good Intentions' might be a deathfic of some form. I responded to it, but thought I'd soothe anyone else's fears in a post, so if you don't want to know, don't read the part of this post marked 'SEMI-SPOILER'. Otherwise, I'm just popping in to say RL has been kicking my ass. I've been through a crazy sickness, and LOTS of melodrama, but things are getting back on track, and I'm working on chapter 2 for 'House'.

For anyone who was getting excited about my YouTube movies (I know I totally was) that's been put-off due to my inability to collect clips. Uni had disabled Bittorrent and for some reason I can't properly download files that I've been directed to. So, I've decided to seek-out some kind of Mac program that lets me take clips off a DVD directly, and that's going to take time to find (and afford, quite frankly). I'm quite peeved, I was really looking forward to it. Anyway, that's what's happening there.

'The House of Good Intentions' was a challenge from babylonbabe who wanted a fic loosely inspired by 'Meet Joe Black' and 'City of Angels'. Now, I loathe 'City of Angels' with the core of my being for the trauma it inflicted upon me as a youth, but I could see where the challenge was going and very much liked the idea so I accepted it. ... if that hasn't been enough of a clue, I'll be blunt.

The clues in chapter one should be pretty clear, not many humans glow. Still, I want to make it very clear that if I ever decide to kill either Brian or Justin, or cause extreme angst of whatever fashion, then I will make that clear to my readers. There is MINOR character death (of a character who you've all probably guessed, and, I mean, it's canon) but there is also a happy ending for our boys, I solemnly swear, on all five seasons of QAF. But you have to read to the last chapter to get it, and you have to deal with a few kisses of angst (because I'm not an angel).

Okay, I've done the best I could to give you clues and make it clear. If you have any more fears, please let me know and I will attempt to appease them, lol. Hope you enjoy the fic.

Hello!

I just wanted to post a little something to explain what's going on, because I'm sure by now people are wondering what has happened to 'Slowly'. Well, there is another chapter well underway, but my muses, in their guiding glory, drew me back to chapter one and basically ... well, there's work to be done. So, I'm not certain what will be getting more attention, the new chapter or the old ones. I think it might be equal attention, at this point. I'll still post a comment whenever an old chapter has been edited, and also when the new one can be expected. This isn't going to put a halt to updates or anything, but just so you know that my muses for 'Slowly' are as concerned with what went prior as what is coming.

Luv you all!!

Music is an inspiration for me when I'm writing. More often than not, if I'm writing, there's music playing. Sometimes a fic will have picky muses that require a distinct playlist created specifically with a fic in mind and won't tolerate my usual playlists designed for my particular headspace or for when I write. My question is, if such a playlist gets created, is anyone interested in a list of the music I was listening to? None of my fics (thus far) have been song-fics in the sense that the music is greatly influential, but sometimes readers enjoy that sort of thing, so I wasn't sure. What are your thoughts?

View Poll: Music List Poll

Thank-you!

And then of course, Brian finds Justin and uses his ability to try to solve some other case... my memory deteriorates from there ... if you know this fic, please let me know!
Hey everyone! HAPPY NEW YEAR!! Welcome to 2007, here's hoping it's better than 2006.

I just wanted to pop-in quickly to let you know why those two interludes I have promised had yet to appear. My holiday was interrupted on Christmas Eve by RL. The theme for 2006 for me (and all my friends as well, actually) have been horrible illnesses both either for that person specifically or close family, and in some cases both, and since it was getting near to the New Year, I guess '06 wanted to make sure it's lovely theme was clear, so I couldn't really focus on my writing. I leave tomorrow and thus will be reunited with my lovely writings, but I still plan to deliver the interludes, one because I promised, and two, because I already started one and have plans for the other. So, if you still want to vote, go ahead, lol, otherwise you're getting to 'Slowly' themed interludes. I hope to have some new chapters for my fics coming along soon as well.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

I thought I should just explain that because both the New Year's and the Christmas chappies would be (essentially) interludes within the fic (since I never anticipated this happening!) they can take place at any time. Thus it's possible that the interlude chappy (as I can foresee happening with 'Good Intentions') for a chapter to have flashbacks, but also just as possible for the chapter to happen later on in the scheme of things (as in, further on in the fic, I can see this happening with Subtle Difference, perhaps). Just in case that affects your judging, my muses basically rule me, and they might decide they want the New Year's celebration (for example) placed further along in the timeline.

PPS. Please vote... pretty pretty please!

Hello! I have finally recovered from three-straight days of sleep, four days of manic house-cleaning/decorating (honestly! As if I am the only one who lives here!) and an untold number of hours lost to the madness of Christmas-shopping (am I a bad person because I think the best part of Christmas is finding/wrapping/giving gifts? Including enduring the madness of shopping? Maybe just weird...) and also, recovered from the evil Yahoo! email who ate and refuses to regurgitate ALL the chapters I was prepared to work-on over the break. I have no access to the nearly done updates! NONE!!

*Deep breaths*

Okay, so here is the plan. There is no way I can endure three-weeks without writing anything, and I don't want to begin another Wip (even though there is still another challenge that I haven't started yet) because I just started one and I think people are getting worried I won't pick-up my other fics again (I will, btw). There is a possibility I can write-up the next chapter for 'The House of Good Intentions', but I was really wanting to update my other fics that haven't had a lot of movement of late, and not being able to do that (each have already been started and, as I have said, Yahoo! won't let me read those files!) I am offering you the chance to have Christmas AND New Years with the boys in any of my little universes currently being worked on. Thus, I have created TWO polls, one a Christmas poll, the other a New Years poll. I NEED YOUR HELP. Please be so kind as to participate in the poll and vote for whichever fic you would like to see a Christmas and New Year's related chapter for. It won't exactly fit into the timeline (ie. if you vote for All the Rage...) but it won't be coming out of nowhere either. So, cast your vote and I'll deliver a brand-spankin' new chappy holiday-related, and you'll save me from total insanity. (If you want more a Christmas and/or New Years post for two separate fics, participate in the poll, and also, leave a comment to that affect, and if there's enough interest, I might pick two universes to spread peace-on-earth to...

So PLEASE visit my two polls and participate!!

Merry Christmas!
Happy Holidays!
(Stay away from the malls!!)

    <lj:music>'Momentum', Aimee Mann</lj:music>

Hello!

Exams this week and papers due. I had hoped to complete more than I have, fic-wise. Alas, I spent my Saturday making YouTube movies with my friends as we played with action figures ... we're very mature.

Anyway, 'The House of Good Intentions' has a lovely banner and icon, and it almost has a first chapter, I'm going through and cleaning it up a bit. Expect it up later tonight or possibly tomorrow! I hope you enjoy it! The first chapters is inspired by the song 'Momentum' by Aimmee Mann for which it was named.

Hello!

I'm just posting quickly to say that I am going to post the teaser/prologue for 'The House of Good Intentions' on Wednesday. This was a challenge that got issued to me, and gets its inspiration from a bizarre mish-mash of 'City of Angels' and 'Meet Joe Black' and something completely other, and features the Kinney family, but most particularly Jack Kinney, as well as Brian and Justin (because it wouldn't be a B/J slash without the B/J luvin'). It takes a semi-AU look at Jack Kinney and the events that involved him in S1. As it is only a short-prologue-ish portion, it's going up without all the glorious trappings that accompany true-ficdom at Britin-Manor (ie. the smashing banner and icon that is the real reason my fics attract attention), but it's there should you like to take a peak at what's going on. The first chapter will go-up sometime over the weekend, but you'll hear more about that later in the week when things are clearer.

I'm hoping to put-up a new chapter for 'Slowly' as well.

Further bulletins as events warrant.
